At St Anne’s, we endeavour to create confident communicators, imaginative thinkers and informed citizens. Students learn to analyse, understand, communicate and build relationships with others and with the world around them.

Students learn to listen to, read, view, speak, write, create and reflect on spoken, written and multimodal texts. Content and skills are explicitly taught using a variety of strategies catering for individual needs.   Learning does not occur in stages, but is a continually evolving process and is therefore monitored and assessed in an ongoing manner.

Strong parent relationships where students are supported at home in their literacy is valued. Frequent opportunities for students to read, write and engage in speaking and listening experiences is encouraged.
