Welcome to St Anne’s, a vibrant learning community with our Catholic faith, traditions and Gospel values as a cornerstone to our learning.
We work in close collaboration with our families, Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish as well as our other Catholic primary and secondary schools in Sunbury.
Our environment offers every child the opportunity to engage in learning, develop as a whole person and strive to reach his or her potential. St Annes has high expectations and strives to meet the needs of all our children.
We provide a diverse and contemporary curriculum, giving our children access to quality and meaningful learning experiences, whilst catering for the social, emotional and academic needs of each individual child.
We celebrate the uniqueness of each person and endeavour to develop authentic, healthy and positive relations with self and others in order to nurture a strong sense of connectedness and belonging.
I look forward to working in partnership with you and work collaboratively in supporting our children to be confident and successful participants at St Anne’s and the wider community.
MACS Governance Statement:
St Anne's is a school which operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is operated and governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS).
MACS governs and operates 292 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese to continue the mission of Catholic education to proclaim the Good News and equip our young people with the knowledge, skills and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them.
Because the good work of educating the young is a co-responsible task led by every member of the Catholic school community, School Advisory Councils have been established to provide a crucial point of connection between the wider school community and school leaders.
This governance model was designed to ease the administrative burden on our schools and parishes, allow parish priests to focus on the mission of education in the parish, enable greater collaboration between schools and ensure greater consistency in school policies and procedures.

Our History
St Anne’s was established in 1978 as it was evident that the local Catholic school, Our Lady of Mt Carmel could not cater for the increasing enrolments in the Parish. St Anne’s opened with an enrolment of 65 children to serve the families living in the newly developing areas to the west of the Sunbury railway line. Over the years, the school’s enrolment has increased to over 600 students. As a result there has been a steady increase in staffing, buildings and facilities required to serve the changing needs of the school.

Learning Essence Statement
We believe that learners continually develop knowledge, skills and dispositions when they engage in challenging and purposeful experiences that offer them genuine opportunities for ownership and agency.
We value the individuality of all learners, the intrinsic importance of connectedness and the ongoing nature of learning.

School Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
You said 'Love another as I have loved you'
together we pray that you
Unite us in love as you disciples and
as passionate, self-motivated,
creative and resilient learners.
Walk with us as we strive to
act safely, live responsibly
and treat others respectfully.
Walk with us as we strive for
excellence to make a positive difference
in our world.
In growth, wisdom and love
and with your grandmother, St Anne looking over us
may the door to our school
always be open and welcoming.
Amen.
